June 2020 Wildflower (Early Harvest)

Early Summer 2020 in West Michigan was hot, but not without rain. April and May saw heavy rainfall with flood conditions in many parts of the state. Perhaps this accounts for a higher than normal concentration of Willow pollen in the honey. The late August/September honey crop was expectedly darker but more mellow in taste.

    Color Estimate: White/ELA, approx. 28-34mm
Flavor: Pleasantly mild and sweet with a slightly acidic undertone.
